Parking Deck Progress
As you can see in the photo gallery above, we continue to make progress on the many projects necessary to complete our parking garage expansion. Seams between the precast concrete sections of the deck are being sealed and waterproofed and the concrete ramp leading into the main entrance just got a smooth finish. Drainage piping, electrical lines and the sprinkler system are all being installed and new energy-efficient lights are in place.
Work is also underway just outside the parking garage, on both the north and south sides. Crews are grading and backfilling on the north side of the garage to establish a stormwater pond near the garage. On the south side, our landscaping project is just underway.
Last week marked the end of a brief construction project to widen the handicapped parking spaces in front of the hospital. In addition, the curbs along these spaces were replaced by ramps running the length of the lot. The new design will make it easier for patients and visitors using wheelchairs to park and access the hospital.
Our pledge is to keep you informed. You can track our construction progress through our Flickr Photostream. As always, if you have feedback for us, please feel free to leave a comment right here on our blog, reach out to us on Facebook, or talk to us on Twitter.
