The Frederick Memorial Hospital Auxiliary presents FMH with $250,000 Donation.
At the Frederick Memorial Hospital Auxiliary annual luncheon and meeting on June 23, 2014, auxiliary members presented a check in the amount of $250,000 to Tom Kleinhanzel, President and CEO of Frederick Memorial Hospital, and Anne-Herbert Rollins, Chair of Frederick Memorial Hospital Board of Directors. This annual gift is part of a generous pledge made by the Auxiliary to raise $1,000,000 over a five year period, which will aid in the construction of the new FMH Cancer Center.
The FMH Auxiliary was originally founded in September of 1952 to serve on committees, support fundraising activities, and promote good will. The Auxiliary continues to play a key role in the growth and development of Frederick Memorial Hospital. Members of the FMH Auxiliary donate their time to guide our visitors, transport our patients, and support the family members of those who are ill, injured, or on the mend. As of June 25, 2014, 602 volunteers have donated 42,306 hours of their time to Frederick Memorial Hospital. On June 23rd, the Auxiliary recognized Barbara “Bobby” Rickman for generously donating 22,000 hours during her years of service. The FMH Auxiliary also aids in fundraising for the hospital by staffing The FMH Gift Shop and Select Seconds Thrift Store. Additionally, the Auxiliary also hosts various fundraising events throughout the year.
The leadership of Frederick Memorial Hospital would like to thank the FMH Auxiliary for their continued support, service, and stewardship.
