Recently, BB&T presented Frederick Memorial Hospital (FMH) with a $250,000 pledge reconfirming their commitment to the FMH Corporate Honor Roll. BB&T has been an avid supporter of FMH since 1991, pledging more than $600,000 to help FMH meet the growing healthcare of our community.
BB&T’s latest contribution will help FMH expand its award-winning oncology program into a fully integrated, comprehensive Cancer Institute. “BB&T has had a longstanding relationship with FMH and we are delighted to play a part in bringing the new Cancer Institute to fruition. I’ve had friends, loved ones and co-workers who have been afflicted with cancer and all of us at BB&T can think of no better way to help them fight this disease than by supporting this effort with a lead gift,” stated Rob Tuggle, Senior Vice President, Market President, BB&T.
“We are truly grateful to BB&T for their generosity and their strong commitment to the health of this community. Philanthropy continues to be vital to FMH’s future and our community is fortunate to have a great corporate citizen in BB&T,” said Tom Kleinhanzl, President and CEO of Frederick Regional Health System.
The FMH Business & Industry Committee founded the FMH Corporate Honor Roll to provide financial support for FMH’s strategic capital goals. The Corporate Honor Roll roster includes a diverse group of more than 55 local businesses, organizations and foundations dedicated to helping FMH fulfill its commitment to serving the health care needs of our community.
