About

Frederick Memorial Hospital is a private, not-for-profit, 298 bed hospital offering education in healthy lifestyle choices and disease prevention. The hospital is the centerpiece of the Frederick Regional Health System.

Founded in 1902, FMH celebrated its 100-year anniversary with a comprehensive construction project that built a completely new hospital around the original structure.  The result is a new, state-of-the-art hospital featuring an expanded Emergency Department and Surgical Suites, a new BirthPlace and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, and a new patient tower.

At FMH,  we’re constantly growing to meet the needs of our community — whether that means a physical building, a new service line, or a presence here on the social side of the web.
